"Townley’s artistic practice has been able to grow, flourish, and perennially produce its own fleshy vegetal polyps. Her honest hope, is that these synthetic vines spreads out over the city and subsume it entirely. Speculation is rampant as to whether she actually has an artistic flair, or is merely controlled as the infected host of a particularly invasive strain of garden variety weed. Townley however emits the notion that it is the ‘flair’ thank you very much, whilst planting a selection of bright plastic bulbs in your trouser turn-ups."
